1. Introduction

xapply ("we", "us", "our") operates this website and related services. This policy explains how we process personal data when you use our waitlist, website, and (when available) the xapply product. By submitting information to us, you acknowledge this policy.

2. Data we collect

  • Waitlist: email address; name or other fields if you choose to provide them in the future; optional campaign fields you pass in the form or URL (for example UTM parameters); technical metadata such as timestamps.
  • Future product use: account details, resume and CV content, job preferences, application history, and content you upload or generate through the service, as described at launch in product-specific notices.
  • Technical data: standard server and analytics information (for example IP address, user agent, and cookies where used) to secure and improve the service.

3. How we use your data

  • To operate the waitlist and send product updates related to your signup.
  • To provide, maintain, and improve the xapply platform, including AI-assisted features you request.
  • To comply with law, respond to lawful requests, and protect rights and safety.
  • To detect abuse, fraud, and security incidents.

4. Legal bases (where applicable)

Depending on jurisdiction, we rely on consent, performance of a contract, legitimate interests (such as securing our services and understanding aggregate usage), and legal obligation. For India, we align with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) and applicable rules, including processing only for lawful purposes and with appropriate notice.

5. Sharing and processors

We share data with service providers who process it on our instructions, including:

  • Supabase (or equivalent database/hosting) for storage of waitlist and application data.
  • ZeptoMail (or similar email providers) to send transactional messages such as waitlist confirmations.
  • Infrastructure and AI vendors where required to deliver features you use, subject to contracts and this policy.

When the product submits applications on your behalf, relevant information may be shared with employers and job platforms as part of that workflow and their terms. We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention

We retain waitlist and account data for as long as needed to provide the service and comply with law. You may request deletion of waitlist data as described below. Backup and log retention may continue for a limited period afterward.

7. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Request access to personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion where applicable, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Request a machine-readable export of personal data you have supplied, where technically feasible and subject to legal exceptions.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is consent-based, without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority or the Data Protection Board of India, as applicable.

Contact us at the contact email published on our website to exercise these rights. If the value above is not an email address, use the contact method shown on the site.

8. Security

We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage strong passwords and careful sharing of credentials.

9. Children

The service is not directed to children under 16 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

10. International transfers

Your data may be processed in India and other countries where we or our processors operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes may be communicated by email or an on-site notice.
